Definitions
SchedFast is designed to simplify the scheduling process. Each step is clearly defined and allows you to focus on the step at hand as you work your way towards building a complete schedule.
The most important steps are the definitions. SchedFast walks you through defining your teachers, courses and schedgroups. A 'schedgroup' is a group of students who travel from class to class all of the time. In some schools, this could be a division or homeform.
Classes taught by multiple teachers, or classes taken by multiple schedgroups are defined in optional steps.
Tips & Tricks:
Schedgroups are used to separate groups of students who travel between classes in a group. If a group of students stay together except they split into a boy's and a girl's P.E. class, create two (or more) schedgroups.
Example: PE5a, PE5bTeachers have an option to prevent their classes from being scheduled into certain periods of your cycle. Use "Impossible Blocks" for teachers who work a few days a week, or work for only part of the day (morning or afternoon).
Courses can be set up with extra restrictions. If you have one computer lab, SchedFast can ensure only one computer class is scheduled into each period.

Each team of teachers are given a name and optionally, a maximum workload per team.
Each course requires a list of 'designated teachers' who are able to teach that course.
Resource groups allow you to control situations where only one class can be scheduled into the computer lab at any time.
